 July 2005. David lee Roth takes over for Howard Stern-months before his scheduled move to satellite radio. Fans are outraged. Howard is irate as both he and Robin Quivers called in to voice their displeasure. Of course, it was just a hoax; Howard would still be on terrestrial radio for another few months. But It was Billy Mira, the only other person to sit in Howard’s chair other than the king of all media himself, in what the New York post called a ”dead on impression of Roth.” Billy fooled millions, just as he had been doing for years as the voice of Ozzy Ozbourne on the Howard Stern Show. For a large many of us this is when we were first introduced to Billy Mira. But the truth is Billy had been entertaining us for years. Billy started singing and acting at 17. He toured with various bands and even was even nominated as the best unsigned talent in New York City at the 1989 New York Music Awards hosted by comedienne Rosie O’Donnell. After achieving some modest success in music, Billy’s “”other” vocal talents were discovered by local AM radio station WGBB. Amazed with his ability to change his voice and penchant for comedy, Mira was given a late night show in 2000 called "IRadio”. Billy took an Improv/stand-up comedy class at a long island comedy club taught by comedian Jim Gallagher. Gallagher immediately put Mira in the showcase shows and encouraged Billy to work on his stand-up act. He quickly developed his own unique brand of humor that combined witty impressions (including Ozzy Osbourne & Robert DeNiro) with social commentary. Working his ass of at local comedy clubs, Mira befriended Sal “the stockbroker” Governale, the most notorious prankster and outspoken comedian in the history of Howard Stern Show. Joining forces, they would cheer on each other and perform in high profile venues such as Caroline's on Broadway as well as the Comedy Cellar. Billy Mira has been honing his skills in the entertainment industry since he was a teenager. With critically acclaimed comedic performances, a solid musical background, and an unsatisfied quench for success and stardom, it's only a matter of time before America is characterized by Baseball, apple pie… and Billy Mira! Billy Mira is a powerful comedian, a versatile voice impressionist, an experience theatrical performer and an accomplished singer. America first became aware of Mira's incredible vocal talents when he appeared on the nationally syndicated and critically acclaimed Howard Stern Show . The King of All media was quick to acknowledge Mira's capabilities and untapped potential even going as far as saying that Billy could give the legendary voice impressionist Billy West a run for his money.
